Discipline of Steel #77
The problem with clichés is that we don’t take them seriously.
Brought to you by
“Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy, and wise.” ― Benjamin Franklin
The problem with clichés is that we don’t take them seriously.
But they became clichés for a reason.
They are usually very simple truths of wisdom, that are time-tested and were proven right so many times that they turned into idioms.
Unfortunately, that’s also how they end up becoming noise that we get tired of hearing and eventually ignore.
Until one day, when it’s too late, we look back and think we should have listened to these simple words of wisdom, because they were really all we needed.
Life is short, money doesn’t buy happiness, the world belongs to those who wake up early…
But also:
Exercise is Medicine.
Abs Are Made in the Kitchen.
Sleep is the Best Performance Tool.
Strength Training Increases Longevity.
To Look Fit, Train to Be Fit.
Consistency is Key.
Clichés are vital pieces of information.
They can save you, but you’re online looking for secrets and shortcuts.
And one day, it will be too late, and you’ll look back and think you should have paid more attention…
No. Let’s make sure that doesn’t happen.
Today we’re going to look closer into some of them and refocus on what truly moves the needle, because deep down you already know these simple things work, you just stopped listening.
Exercise is Medicine
Exercise is the cornerstone of health.
It’s not just about training the body; it’s about sharpening your mind and spirit.
Every movement, every set, is an investment in good life.
Exercise is your daily dose of medicine, forging resilience and fortitude, making you a better version of yourself with each rep.
Abs Are Made in the Kitchen
True strength is not built solely by lifting weights—it's shaped by discipline in the kitchen. You must fuel your body with purpose, not just to survive but to thrive. Your diet is the foundation that supports everything else. Train your body, but also train your mind to make disciplined choices in what you consume.
Sleep is the Best Performance Tool
Recovery is as vital as the work you put in. Sleep is where your body repairs, rebuilds, and grows. You can push yourself in the gym, but without rest, you're only setting yourself back. Prioritize your sleep—it’s the true performance tool that ensures your efforts in training pay off in strength and endurance.
Strength Training Increases Longevity
Strength is the key to lasting power. True fitness is about building a body that stands the test of time. Strength training is not just for today—it’s for your future. The stronger you become, the longer you’ll be able to move, lift, and live with confidence.
It’s about living better, longer, not just being ready for summer.
To Look Fit, Train to Be Fit
In my program, we don’t train for aesthetics—we train to build a body capable of enduring, moving, and achieving. Aesthetics become a natural by-product of it.
Train to be strong, to be mobile, to be functional. When you focus on your capabilities, your physique will follow, forged by the effort you put in and the discipline you uphold.
Consistency is Key
Consistency is the unbreakable foundation of progress. It’s not the intensity of a single workout that defines you; it’s the steady, relentless effort you put in day after day. Every small action, every rep, every meal—when done consistently—builds the strength and resilience you need to achieve greatness. Success comes from the habit of showing up, not just when it’s convenient, but every single day. Your results are earned through persistence, and the key to unlocking them lies in your unwavering commitment to the process.
That’s all for today, and yes, it was a shorter version than usual.
I really wanted you to think about that one thing this week and nothing else.
How does that work for you? Do you prefer the usual format with several tips and exercises?
How about one lesson like I did today + 1 video tutorial as I usually send?
This is your chance to choose the type of content you want to see in the future, just reply to this email and let me know your thoughts. 👍🏼
Thanks for reading and see you next week!
